Celina City Schools Delay Due to Fog
On Thursday morning, Celina City Schools announced a two‑hour delay for all students and staff because of low visibility caused by early‑morning fog. The district said the decision was made to ensure safety as commuters and buses navigate the area.
Morning Delay Details
The delay was posted on the district’s official social media channels shortly after 6 a.m. Officials noted that fog conditions were expected to persist through the morning rush, making travel hazardous. As a result, school start times were pushed back by two hours, with classes now beginning at 9:30 a.m. The district urged parents and guardians to check for further updates, as conditions could change.
School Announcement
In a statement, the Celina City Schools superintendent said, “We are closely monitoring the weather and will continue to provide timely information.
