Malachi Toney Moves Past Andre Johnson On Miami’s Receiving List

The Miami Hurricanes’ latest winning effort against Florida State quickly became a historic night for Malachi Toney , and it turned a strong statistical line into a landmark moment in Miami receiving history.

With 11 receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns against Florida State on Saturday, Toney passed Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Johnson on the Miami career receiving yardage list . Toney is 11th in Miami history with 1,969 receiving yards after his big game in the Hurricanes’ 43-35 double-overtime win over FSU.

Toney is fifth in Miami history with 159 receptions and ninth with 18 career TD receptions. By the end of the 2026 regular season, Toney should own Miami’s career records for receptions and receiving yards and have an outside chance at the TD record.
