STADIUM CONCOURSE ENTRY AND GAME DAY UPDATES AT AUBURN JORDAN-HARE

Auburn Athletics continues to work closely with emergency management partners to evaluate and improve pedestrian flow throughout Jordan-Hare Stadium, particularly in the northwest and northeast concourses impacted by ongoing construction. Throughout the season, several operational improvements have been implemented to enhance safety and efficiency, including adding metal detectors at stadium entry gates, reconfiguring concession stands to widen pedestrian pathways, relocating medical cart staging areas, removing obstructions from congested concourses, increasing law enforcement and stadium personnel presence to keep pedestrian traffic moving, and adding wayfinding signage to direct fans to the most efficient routes. These adjustments have helped improve circulation and reduce congestion, with additional improvements continuing as construction progresses.

Fans entering Jordan-Hare Stadium on the west side are encouraged to utilize all available entry gates, including those near the north end of Heisman Drive (Gates 16-18), to help distribute crowds and reduce wait times. This distributed approach helps prevent bottlenecks that previously formed around popular entry points during high-demand games.

PEDESTRIAN FLOW IMPROVEMENTS

The stadium has implemented multiple measures to optimize foot traffic movement across the venue. Metal detectors have been added at key entry gates to streamline security screening while maintaining thoroughness. Concession stands have been reconfigured to widen pedestrian pathways, reducing crowding in high-traffic zones. Medical cart staging areas have been relocated to less congested locations, and various obstructions along the concourses have been removed to create clearer walking corridors. Additionally, increased law enforcement and stadium personnel presence has been deployed to manage crowd dynamics and ensure smooth movement throughout the season. Wayfinding signage has also been installed to guide fans toward the most efficient routes, helping attendees navigate the complex layout more easily.

FAN ENTRY RECOMMENDATIONS

To further alleviate congestion, fans entering Jordan-Hare Stadium on the west side are strongly advised to utilize all available entry gates rather than concentrating traffic at a few popular locations. Specifically, fans approaching from the west side should consider Gates 16 through 18 located near the north end of Heisman Drive. Using these distributed entry points helps spread out arrival times and reduces pressure on central concourse areas.

WEST SIDE TICKET STRATEGY

For fans holding lower-level tickets on the west side between Sections 1–12 and in Rows 38 and above, there is a strategic advantage to using the west ramps and proceeding down the stadium steps directly to their seats. This approach allows these fans to bypass the lower seating portals and avoid walking up steps into the opposing bowl inner concourse. By doing so, they help reduce opposing pedestrian traffic through the lower bowl inner concourse, creating a more balanced flow of movement throughout the stadium.

TIGER WALK SCHEDULE UPDATE

Fans are reminded that Tiger Walk now takes place approximately 2.5 hours before kickoff, a schedule introduced at last weekend’s home opener. For Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, Tiger Walk is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. CT, providing fans with additional time to enjoy Tiger Walk Plaza and other pregame activities before entering Jordan-Hare Stadium. This extended window allows attendees to fully experience the pre-game atmosphere without feeling rushed.

TIGER WALK PLAZA ACTIVITIES

The Tiger Walk Plaza serves as a vibrant gathering space before kickoff, offering live music beginning at 11 a.m. CT near the Plainsman Park entrance and Frank Thomas statue. Starting at 12:15 p.m. CT, the Tiger Tailgate Show will take place in the newly designated location within Tiger Walk Plaza. A video board adjacent to the stage will feature Auburn Gameday Live on WarEagle+, providing a live stream of the show alongside additional pregame coverage. These activities give fans opportunities to socialize, enjoy entertainment, and build excitement leading up to the main event.

PLAINSMAN PARK OPENING

Plainsman Park will open at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday, serving as a dedicated gathering spot for fans who wish to watch college football before heading to Jordan-Hare Stadium. The park provides a convenient location to purchase food and beverages while enjoying the game atmosphere. Within the park, the Plainsman Patio offers a shaded gathering space along the right field line, featuring food and beverage options such as Ben’s Pretzels, Chick-fil-A, and the Plainsman Patio Fast Flight Market and Brew Cave. The ballpark’s video board will showcase a College Football Red Zone-style viewing experience, enabling fans across the country to follow games from various locations.

JORDAN-HARE NORTH PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Jordan-Hare North Project represents the largest and most significant capital project in the history of Auburn Athletics and Jordan-Hare Stadium. This seven-level facility spans approximately 300,000 square feet and broke ground in 2026, with completion scheduled for spring 2029. The project will transform the north end of the stadium while maintaining Jordan-Hare’s capacity of more than 88,000 spectators. While the result will dramatically enhance the stadium’s amenities and facilities, construction requires several temporary adjustments to familiar gameday routines over the coming seasons.

CONSTRUCTION IMPACT ON OPERATIONS

Construction will necessitate several temporary adjustments to established gameday operations. Fans accustomed to walking along Heisman Drive on the north side of the stadium will not be able to do so during construction phases. Outside the venue, pedestrians traveling between the east and west sides of Jordan-Hare Stadium should utilize Thach Concourse as their primary route. Inside the stadium, the north concourse will remain open for east-west pedestrian traffic, though areas near the northeast and northwest corners may become narrower due to ongoing construction activities.

South Stadium operations will also be affected by the loss of the north end zone parking lot, which will impact operations south of Jordan-Hare Stadium primarily around Gate 9. Visiting team buses will temporarily drop off at Gate 8.5, potentially creating additional congestion in that area prior to games. Fans are encouraged to seek alternate pedestrian routes to access Campus Green and the Jordan-Hare Stadium east gates, such as paths running south of Plainsman Park.

TAILGATING AREA ADJUSTMENTS

Traditional tailgating and gathering areas surrounding the north side of Jordan-Hare Stadium, including portions of the North Lawn, will also be impacted during the construction period. These classic tailgating spaces will be reshaped to accommodate ongoing work, requiring visitors to adapt their plans accordingly. The changes aim to maintain safety and accessibility while the stadium undergoes necessary improvements.

GAMEDAY WEBSITE RESOURCES

With new amenities throughout Jordan-Hare Stadium and ongoing construction changing some familiar routes around the venue, fans are encouraged to plan ahead by visiting the official gameday website. AuburnTigers.com/gameday serves as the central destination for comprehensive information fans need throughout the 2026 season. The site provides updated details on parking, pedestrian routes, stadium entry procedures, concessions offerings, tailgating regulations, and other critical gameday operations. Additionally, the platform features an interactive multi-level map of campus and Jordan-Hare Stadium, allowing users to search for specific concessions and locate amenities throughout the venue with ease.

By staying informed through these resources, fans can navigate the evolving landscape of gameday experiences and ensure a positive and safe attendance at every event.
