Mac Jones’ Dating Red Flags? Claire Kittle Says No Seafood and No Coffee

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones may be able to deliver a strike with a 300-pound defensive lineman closing in, but when it comes to the dating scene, he has a pair of dealbreakers that have nothing to do with football: seafood and coffee.

The revelation came from Claire Kittle, wife of 49ers star tight end George Kittle, during an episode of “The Kittle Things.” Asked to identify Jones’ biggest dating red flags, Claire didn’t hesitate. The 28-year-old backup quarterback, who is single, later confirmed her assessment and even offered some unsolicited advice for anyone considering him as a partner.

Claire Kittle Reveals Mac Jones’ Biggest Dating Turnoffs

Claire Kittle was blunt when discussing Jones’ romantic profile. “You don’t eat seafood!” she said during the podcast. “Oh, and you don’t drink coffee. That one might be worse.”

Jones, 28, agreed with her evaluation. “Yeah. I’d say that those are probably my two biggest ones,” he said on the show.

Mac Jones Agrees and Offers Dating Advice of His Own

The backup quarterback leaned into the joke, saying he would ask for the kids’ menu at a seafood restaurant. Jones said he has recently gotten back into the dating game and has a simple request for potential dates.

“Don’t go to a seafood spot with me,” Jones said.

Personality and Positivity Are Mac Jones’ Green Flags

As for green flags, the Kittles pointed to his personality and outlook. “I would obviously say his personality. Everyone loves that,” Claire said.

George Kittle added that Jones’ positivity stands out most. “Even when you’re hurting, you still got a smile on your face and a love of life,” George said.

Claire praised Jones for maintaining that attitude during difficult stretches of the season, such as when the team contends with injuries or consecutive losses.

Mac Jones’ Role With the 49ers This Season

On the field, Jones is working behind starter Brock Purdy on a 49ers team that has overcome injuries and entered its bye week at 6-1 and atop the NFC West. Jones has appeared in just one game this season, entering after San Francisco had already put the game out of reach.

What It Means for the 49ers Backup Quarterback

Mac Jones may never order the cioppino or a cappuccino on a first date, but according to the Kittles, he brings personality and positivity to the table. Whether those green flags are enough to overcome a seafood-free diet is now a question for the dating pool—and Jones seems perfectly aware of where he stands.
