October 2026 Game Pass Update: New Releases, Benefits, and Departing Titles

Welcome back, friends! We hope you’ve been having a blast digging in with Bravo Squad for Gears of War: E-Day or clearing out the dungeons in Minecraft Dungeons II. When you’re ready to expand your library, we have plenty more coming your way, including several titles you may remember from our XBOX Games Showcase this past summer. From time-manipulating metroidvanias to the return of all-out warfare, here is everything you need to know about the current month’s lineup.

This Week’s Biggest Releases: Coming Soon

October brings a heavy influx of day-one Game Pass additions. Whether you prefer single-player narratives or chaotic multiplayer bouts, there is a title on the horizon for every playstyle. Below is a quick reference for the upcoming schedule before we dive into the details.

October 8: Time Loops, Cyberpunk Roguelikes, and Road Trips

Three major titles launch on October 8, all available on day one with XBOX Game Pass.

Echo Weaver (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) lets time serve as your greatest resource and secrets as your only upgrades. As the last Weaver, you must master an unraveling time loop, exploiting time-altering anomalies to break the cycle. Explore the ruins, uncover the mystery, and perfect the loop in this knowledge-based metroidvania.

Forever Ago (Cloud, Console, and PC) takes a more reflective tone. Following a tragic stroke of fate, Alfred journeys north in search of redemption. This single-player road trip adventure lets you travel to beautiful places, capture memories with a camera, and meet interesting characters along the way.

For fans of high-octane action, Neon Abyss 2 (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) is a love letter to roguelike action platformers. Battle through The Abyss in a pixelated cyberpunk world where ancient and modern gods rule. Death comes easily, survival is punishment, and every defeat demands one more run.

October 13: Battlefield Returns and Supernatural Soulslikes

The mid-month slate is headlined by one of the biggest franchises of the year alongside several indie darlings.

Battlefield 6 (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) arrives on October 13 for the definitive Battlefield experience. Expect all-out warfare, fast-paced close-quarters combat, and tactical destruction. EA Play members can unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack, claim the Season 5 EA Play Pack, and earn recurring seasonal rewards. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers receive EA Play included, plus 10% off eligible EA digital purchases.

Deep Dish Dungeon (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) offers survival exploration where you navigate a puzzly, hand-crafted dungeon with metroidvania and crafting elements. Unravel the enigmas of the dungeon’s depths solo or with online co-op multiplayer.

Valor Mortis (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) is a first-person action soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner. Rise from death as a former soldier of Napoleon’s army, wield supernatural powers, battle horrifying monsters, and unravel a conspiracy that threatens all of humanity.

October 15–16: Family Adventures and Co-op Chaos

The final days of the month round out the update with family-friendly fun and intense co-op battles.

Bluey’s Happy Snaps (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC) lets you explore Bluey’s world like never before. Play, explore, and capture moments with Bluey and Bingo in a photo-powered adventure across familiar spots from the show. Snap memories solo or side-by-side with a second player, discover Australian wildlife, and turn in-game moments into real fun.

Chained Beasts (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) is a 1-4 player co-op gladiator roguelike. Fight chaotic battles chained to your friends, using your chains or the arena to beat up foes in creative ways. Endure physical and mental injuries to defeat fearsome bosses and survive the day.

Beyond These Stars (PC) completes the list. Build a city on the back of a Space Whale and learn to coexist as you journey through the stars. Manage intricate supply chains and the needs of your people as you build outposts, meet aliens, and uncover the mysteries of the universe.
